32428. VI. Tuesday. Psalm 82
Amidst the Mighty, God is strong
The Gods are subject to his Laws—
When will ye cease to sanction wrong?
When ease to prop the wicked cause?
The poor and fatherless defend;
And from oppression’s yoke relieve
The wretched and the poor befriend,
And from the godless hand retrieve.
They will not understand or know

Sons of the most high God indeed—
But die ye shall, as doom’d from birth
Like earthly princes ye shall fall
Arise O God and judge the Earth
For thine of humankind are all
