Adams John Quincy. Adams Isaac Hull.

This day at 12 oclock was the Annual Meeting of the Supervisors of the Adams Temple and School Fund at Quincy. A Resolution had been adopted two years ago that the Annual Meeting should be held on the first Wednesday in September in the Select mens Room at the new Town Hall, and that if that day should by any accident pass over, without being held it should then be specially called as early in the month of September as might be. The first Wednesday of the month was passed over inattentively this year, but it was specially called by the President Mr. Thomas Greenleaf and was held this day— The members present were Thomas Greenleaf President, George. W. Beale, Charles. F. Adams and myself— Mr. Josiah Quincy Senior was not present. There was nothing to be done except the adjustment of the accounts of the Treasurer of the Corporation, who is also the Treasurer for the Town of Quincy, John Briesler— The Meeting adjourned before one oclock— There was another Meeting called a Pic Nic of children, otherwise a Temperance meeting 173calling themselves a Cold Water Army who had a collation at the Town Hall— To this Meeting I was invited and witnessed their assemblage to the number of about one hundred and twenty children of each sex between seven and fourteen years of age, who formed a procession issuing from the Town Hall and returning there to their Collation.— to which I did not stay. They had sundry addresses made to them and were still there when I rode by, up to Braintree and returning by Bens Point about sunset—
