Brent continues ill and unable to attend at the Office, which much discomposes the routine of ordinary business— Received another Letter from the President. Wrote to N. Levy the Agent appointed for the Island of St. Thomas— Mrs Adams spent the Evening at her Sister Frye’s. I made a very short Evening. There was a Note from Mr Hyde de Neuville, asking an interview either at my house or my Office, which came after I was in bed.
