10. Went to Boston this morning alone— Left my deed from Mr: Smith at the register’s office to be recorded. Asked Mr: Cooper to leave the bench of the common pleas, which he did— Left at his office twenty 4 per cent bonds with four coupons to each, and two 5 per cent bonds to be recorded— Called at the loan office, and afterwards at the branch bank, where I received 12 dollars for quarterly dividend upon 8 pr: ct: stock— Paid Mr: B. Hall 100 dollars for the two last assessments on five shares of the Middlesex Canal—agreed to purchase two more shares at 75 pr: ct:— Received several letters at the post office— Delivered to Mr: Smith two copies of my letter of advice to Messrs: Bird, Savage & Bird— Called on Mr: Parsons; he was out— And on Mrs: G. Green— On Miss Breck to invite her out to Quincy; but she was out of town— Dined with Mr: OtisMr: & Mrs: ErskineMr: & Mrs: Mifflin and Miss Bond, Mr: & Mrs: Morton, Mr: & Mrs: Howard, Mr: & Mrs: T. Amory, Mr: W. Sullivan, and others were the company.— Went out to Quincy in the Evening, and took up Mr: Shaw, at Mr: Gurley’s, in Dorchester.
