17. Call’d at Crane wharf to enquire whether the packet would sail this day, but found it would be detained by the wind— Read St: John’s new journey in Pennsylvania and New-York. Dined at Mr: Burr’s. Mr: Edward Livingston, P. Edwards, Captain M’Neal, Mr: Williamson, Mr: Allen, Mr: Gahn, Mr: Dana and Mr: Tidyman, whom I saw sometime ago were of the company. As was Captn: Ellery.— I left the table and came home early to pass the evening with my sisterMr: & Mrs: Clarkson were here. Play’d chess with my sister.
